GPN has been extensively working in Nepal for many years to mitigate the health impacts caused by solid and hazardous waste. GPN supports in following aspects to various stakeholders ranging from private institutions to all 3 tiers of government:
GPN supports in conducting diagnostic assessment of municipal solid waste along with institutional level waste (health care facilities, industries and others). This includes details of the waste characterization studies and detailed plan for waste segregation, collection, transportation, treatment, disposal along with the financial requirements and the revenue generation.
GPN have developed different training packages related to the specific need training. Based on the results and recommendation from the project assessment report, GPN defines the related topics for the trainings. GNP works on Capacity building of Informal Waste Workers regarding OSH and its activities implementation. GNP Support for innovation economic opportunities contributing to risk mitigation and environmental exposure through capacity building of Informal Waste Workers on entrepreneurial and basic financial skills.
GPN support in developing an environmentally friendly, safe and sustainable system addressing the issues of environment and public health impacting global warming and environmental pollution at all institutional level (health care facilities, industries and others).
GNP advocates on promotion of environment friendly technology for the efficient solid waste management in various platforms. We provide services like assessment of health care waste, environmental assessment services, Training, Project research and manual development etc.
GNP supports in conducting researches on different issues related to waste management, environmental and public health and climate change.
Monitoring and Evaluation to ensure improvement, accountability, performance management and demonstrate effectiveness as well as efficiency of program.
