HCWM Assessment of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City

Assessment on current status of the health care waste management of the current status of the health care facilities of Lalitpur sub-metropolitan city, with the support of European Union from 15th June- 15th November, 2016. The major objectives of this project are summarized as below:

Objective:

To assess current best practices and identify gaps that need to be addressed for the improvement in health care waste management practices in the metropolitan city.
To assess occupational health and safety practices in hospital and recommend possible measures for improvement of the status.
To recommend feasible technology and the logistics required for the establishment of safe health care waste management system in the hospital.
The key findings of the project is as follows

Identification of the existing scenario of health care waste management practices in the city.
Identification of the existing scenario of occupational health and safety practices in the health care facilities of the metropolitan city.
A detailed technology identification and list of logistics required for the health care facilities to improve the health care waste management system.
